The ACFT may end Equity Cult Ideology in the Army

Another week, another article whining about females unable to meet minimal standards on the new Army Combat Fitness Test. It’s so bad that there are senators involved and congress telling the Army to stop the test. Some tests are so bad it’s as high as 85% fail. I have yet to see all or even a majority of females pass the ACFT at any given opportunity I’ve taken it.

However, I am told by our Generals and Admirals who have absorbed the worm-brains of the new critical theory orthodoxy, there is no difference between males and females. It’s a false construct created by the cis-het patriarchal system of oppression? Who can really say what is a female and what is a male? How dare the Army assume someone’s gender? Who’s to say some of those failing females don’t identify as males?

The above paragraph is obviously nonsense, especially to people not devoted to the cult of the woke. It’s word salad in violation of reality.

With the ACFT, The Army can either lower standards to please the cult of DIE (especially the equity part) or they can maintain the standard and require all to meet it.

In a system of equality, all would be held to the same standard regardless of immutable characteristics. This means the standard will have to be unreasonably low for men to be reasonably challenging for females. A reasonably challenging standard for males is impossibly challenging for females. Of course, that is in reality, which apparently always reasserts itself in spite of the best efforts of leftists who run our institutions including the military to deny it.

The Army can be sexist and require different standards for males and females. This is in violation of the equality dogma that states women are just as capable as men and the equity dogma which states we need to force women into all positions inside the military, even those for which they are not readily and naturally conditioned.

Of course, all of this requires the army to eschew the current state dogma that there is no difference between men and women. And the largest problem: The Army will have to admit disparity doesn’t mean discrimination. This will crush their current enforcement of the new state religion of DIE. The institution will have to concede disparities are often self-enforced based on preference and ability not an imaginary force of systemic oppression.

Army Capt. Kristen Griest, one of the first females to graduate Ranger school, tried to argue for the old-school, second-wave feminist version of equality stating, ‘Women can do more than we think.’ I have learned this,” she said in an interview, explaining her thinking. “Your gender is not as much of a limitation as you think it is.”

She was of course lambasted for her efforts, including her glass-ceiling-breaking effort to train and pass Ranger school, by being told by the new cult of SocJus, including feminized men, that she was just confused by her internalized misogyny. While I agree women should have the opportunity, those who can pass such grueling feats of physical endurance and strength are few and far between. But if they want it, and can pass it, let them have it. But they should be held to the same standard as the men they would be competing with for promotion and leading in their formations in a combat arms environment. Something, it doesn’t appear Griest has a problem doing, but she is an anomaly. To deny that she is an anomaly which took significantly more training than her male peers to pass is a discredit to her accomplishment and dangerous denial of reality.

Griest’s entire argument is that with equal opportunity (equality) comes equal responsibility. Agreed. But the cult of DIE does not agree. They believe that equality of outcome is more important. This the “E” in “DIE”, the equity.

There are also arguments that the ACFT was purposefully designed for men to keep women from getting promoted. It could be that the military finally created an objective assessment of physical strength and conditioning negating gender and women are found to be biologically hindered in their natural ability to compete against men. For decades the Army has protected females from competition against men by inflating their scores on fitness tests in tune with their innate, universal biological ability. That’s not even equality. It’s closer to what they call equity because it provides for a forced inclusive outcome by providing separate but equal standards. The APFT is the equivalent of giving people 50 points on the SAT for college admission. That’s why there are people arguing to stick with the APFT and sacrifice combat readiness for wokeness.

There are other issues compounding this problem and the reaction. The statements by Fox News host Tucker Carlson that the military is being feminized to the detriment of national security and actually winning wars hits a little close to home. The inclusion of transgender service members requires a gender-neutral test for actual equality and fairness, especially if they transition during their service.

So, now the Army’s choice is clear. Equity or equality. They have been pushing equity hard, including the installation of Politburo members of the DIE cult. If they want equity, they have to recreate the test and include separate but equal standards. Which they might do. The people of the US, their representatives, and military leaders are no longer interested in fairness, or equality, or even having a functional and lethal military. Always bet on the leftist institutions to substitute virtue-signaling for national security. They hate the country anyways. They don’t really care if their CCP Comrades destroy us.
